Dr. Jeri Lurz

Dr. Jeri Lurz

Dr. Lurz is dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate care for companion animals. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Iowa State University in 2010 and began her career in Sparta, Wisconsin, at a small animal practice. There she gained extensive and valuable medical, surgical, and emergency experience. In 2012, she returned to Nebraska and joined Animal Medical Clinic.

Building on her strong foundation in traditional veterinary medicine, Dr. Lurz expanded her expertise by earning her certification in acupuncture therapy. This has given her additional tools to manage pain, inflammation, and a variety of chronic conditions, improving patient comfort and quality of life. She has also pursued advanced coursework in diagnostic ultrasound to enhance her ability to evaluate abdominal structures.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Lurz enjoys spending time with her pets and staying active. Her hobbies include reading, listening to books, weightlifting, walking, and kayaking—activities that support both physical and mental strength and development.
