Dr. Kimberly Jans

Dr. Jans is an Omaha native with over five years of prior experience as a veterinary assistant at a small animal clinic. She completed the 2+2 program through the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and Iowa State University, earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2026. She showed special interest in ophthalmology, preventive medicine, and feline medicine during school. Additionally, she did specific learning geared towards various specialties like animal rehabilitation, cardiology, dermatology, soft tissue surgery, and dentistry.

She is able to combine her experience in a busy veterinary clinic with the knowledge gained in veterinary school to provide personable, compassionate, and detailed oriented care to her patients. She enjoys helping pet parents through all stages of their pet’s life while focusing on client education and implementing fear-free techniques.

In her free time, Dr. Jans enjoys golfing with her husband; watching and attending volleyball (Go Skerz!), football, and hockey games; traveling to places on her bucket list; trying new restaurants in the area; and playing the Nintendo Switch with her family and friends.
